Two individuals have drowned in an uncontrolled area of the sea in the Jorat settlement of Sumgait, located approximately 900 meters from the nearest rescue station.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations reported the incident to the Operative Information Center-OMM.
According to the ministry, rescue divers successfully saved Murad Azad oglu Yariyev, born in 2004. During the same operation, the body of a female victim was recovered from the water and handed over to the relevant authorities.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations frequently conducts awareness campaigns and patrols along the Caspian Sea coastline, particularly during the summer season, to prevent such incidents. Authorities continue to urge citizens to swim only in designated areas where rescue services are present and to strictly adhere to safety warnings, especially during periods of adverse weather or strong currents.
