Margarita Simonyan, editor-in-chief of the Rossiya Segodnya international media group and RT television channel, has offered assistance to people affected by Ukrainian drone strikes in Novorossiysk, Krasnodar region, Russia.
The Operative Information Center-OMM reports that Simonyan made the statement in an audio message posted on the Max platform.
“We will say everything later. For now, those who need assistance, write to us,” Simonyan said.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces reportedly attacked Novorossiysk overnight into Wednesday.
Krasnodar Region Governor Veniamin Kondratyev earlier said that four people, including a child, had been killed in the incident.
Twenty-nine people were reportedly injured, three of them seriously.
The attack damaged three private homes and five apartment buildings. An Orthodox church and a kindergarten were also damaged.
Novorossiysk is a major port city on Russia’s Black Sea coast and an important transport and energy hub. Drone attacks in the region have previously prompted authorities to impose temporary security restrictions and issue warnings to residents.
