President Ilham Aliyev has signed a decree posthumously awarding military personnel and civilians of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan. These individuals were recognized for their bravery and courage demonstrated during combat operations aimed at restoring the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, as well as for their dedicated performance of duty.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the decree honors those who sacrificed their lives while fulfilling their military and service obligations.
The awards recognize the significant contributions of these individuals to the restoration of Azerbaijan's sovereignty. Such state honors are part of the country's ongoing efforts to commemorate the memory of those who fell in the 44-day Patriotic War and subsequent operations in the Garabagh region, ensuring their legacy is preserved as a symbol of national pride and sacrifice for the country's territorial integrity.
