Weather conditions in Azerbaijan are expected to change on March 4, with precipitation forecast for several regions across the country.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the National Hydrometeorological Service has issued an official statement regarding the upcoming weather shift.

In Baku and the Absheron Peninsula, the weather is expected to be changeably cloudy and occasionally gloomy, but primarily rainless. However, light drizzle may occur in some suburban areas during the morning hours. The southwest wind will be replaced by a moderate northwest wind in the second half of the day, which is expected to intensify periodically. The air temperature in the capital will range from 3-6°C at night to 8-11°C during the day. Atmospheric pressure will rise from 763 mm Hg to 767 mm Hg, while relative humidity will be 75-80% at night and 65-70% during the day.

In the regions of Azerbaijan, while the weather will start mostly dry, precipitation is expected to begin in the northern and western districts during the day. Snow is forecast for mountainous areas, with the possibility of intense precipitation in specific locations. Fog is anticipated on some roads during the night and morning hours, and the west wind will strengthen occasionally in various areas. Temperatures in the regions will fluctuate between 0-5°C at night and 9-14°C during the day, while in the mountains, temperatures will drop to 5-10°C frost at night and range from 3°C frost to 2°C heat during the day.

The National Hydrometeorological Service of Azerbaijan regularly monitors atmospheric conditions to provide timely warnings for the population and relevant state agencies. Such seasonal transitions in March are typical for the Caucasus region, often characterized by fluctuating pressure and the meeting of cold air masses from the north with milder currents, leading to the intensified wind conditions frequently observed in the Absheron Peninsula.
