Two individuals have been detained during an operation against the illegal turnover of narcotic substances in the Saatli district.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) released a statement regarding the successful operation. As a result of search and operational measures carried out by officers of the Saatli District Police Department, 34-year-old Alkhan Agarahimov and 35-year-old Elvin Mehdiyev were arrested on suspicion of organizing illegal drug trafficking.

During the investigation, approximately 6 kilograms of narcotics, including hashish and marijuana, were discovered and seized from the suspects. In their testimonies, the detainees stated they were recruited as drug couriers via social networks by an Iranian citizen whose identity is currently being established by the investigation. A criminal case has been initiated, and by court order, a measure of restraint in the form of arrest has been chosen for both individuals. Investigations into the matter are ongoing.
