Starting July 1, the bus fleets operating on route 77, which connects the Yeni Yasamal residential area to the M.F. Akhundov Garden (Bunyad Sardarov Street), and route 91, linking the Nicat Mustafayev Street in the Binagadi district to the Baku International Bus Terminal Complex, will be replaced with new vehicles.
This information was reported by the Operative Information Center-OMM, citing the Azerbaijan Land Transport Agency (AYNA) under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport.
According to the official statement, 20 modern, environmentally friendly buses equipped with CNG technology will operate on route 77, while 10 similar buses will be deployed on route 91. These upgrades are part of a broader initiative by the Azerbaijani government to modernize the capital's public transportation network, reduce carbon emissions, and enhance passenger comfort.
Payments on both routes will be conducted exclusively through a cashless system. The fare for the service has been set at 0.60 AZN.
