Cenevrə danışıqları necə keçir? Rusiya və ABŞ razılaşacaqmı?

Russia and the United States are continuing their high-level negotiations in Geneva regarding the ongoing crisis in Ukraine.

The Operative Information Center-OMM reports that Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin told journalists that the spirit of the Russia-US summit previously held in Anchorage remained "vibrant and strong" during the discussions in Geneva. Galuzin emphasized that while the negotiations aimed at resolving the Ukraine crisis are by no means easy, they are set to continue in the coming period.

The third round of the Russia-United States-Ukraine talks took place in Geneva on February 17-18. The Russian delegation was led by presidential aide Vladimir Medinsky, who described the meetings as "difficult but businesslike." Meanwhile, Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that the parties have "almost reached an agreement" regarding a ceasefire monitoring mechanism. These discussions follow a renewed diplomatic push involving US President Donald Trump, whose administration has signaled a commitment to mediating a resolution to the conflict.

Geneva has historically served as a neutral ground for major international diplomatic efforts and arms control treaties. The current diplomatic track is seen as a critical attempt to de-escalate tensions that have impacted global security and energy markets. Observers note that any potential breakthrough in these talks would require balancing complex security guarantees with the principles of territorial integrity and international law.
