Disinformation originating from the "Tsargrad.tv" resource has been circulated in the Russian-language segment of the internet, aimed at damaging the strategic alliance between Azerbaijan and Türkiye. Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the Media Development Agency (MEDIA) of Azerbaijan has issued an official statement regarding these reports, which are based on questionable sources and do not reflect reality.
"We strongly condemn such acts of disinformation, which attempt to mislead public opinion with fake and manipulative content directed against Azerbaijan and target the existing brotherhood and alliance between Azerbaijan and Türkiye. We call on Azerbaijani and Turkish journalists, as well as media entities, to demonstrate a principled position against such disinformation attempts, to refrain from disseminating unverified information, and to act responsibly in protecting the information environment," the statement reads.
The Media Development Agency urged the public in both countries not to believe false reports and to rely solely on statements provided by official bodies. To prevent such incidents and maintain a unified stance, the Agency confirmed it will continue its effective cooperation with the Communications Directorate of the Presidential Administration of Türkiye. This collaboration remains a cornerstone of the strategic media alliance between Baku and Ankara, ensuring a coordinated response to hybrid threats and information warfare.
