Rubio və Lavrov arasında kritik Ukrayna danışığı

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov have held a telephone conversation to discuss critical international issues.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the US State Department reported that the two officials focused on bilateral relations, the Russia-Ukraine war, and matters concerning Iran. The department noted that the call was initiated by the Russian side.

The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs also released a statement regarding the discussion, noting that the parties reviewed the current international situation and the agenda of Russia-US relations. According to the ministry, the dialogue was "constructive and practical" in nature.

This high-level communication comes at a pivotal moment for global diplomacy following the inauguration of US President Donald Trump in January 2025. The interaction signals a potential shift in diplomatic engagement between Washington and Moscow as both nations navigate complex geopolitical challenges in Eastern Europe and the Middle East. Historically, such direct channels between the State Department and the Kremlin have served as vital mechanisms for managing tensions and seeking common ground on global security issues.
