The Secretary General of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic States (TÜRKPA), Ramil Hasan, held a high-level meeting with the Vice President of Turkey, Cevdet Yılmaz, as part of his official visit to the country.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the discussion focused on the organization's recent projects, the activities of its standing committees, and the strategic direction of inter-parliamentary cooperation. Ramil Hasan expressed his appreciation for the ongoing support from Turkey and highlighted the pivotal role TÜRKPA plays in ratifying the strategic decisions made by the heads of state within the Organization of Turkic States (OTS).

For his part, Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz emphasized the importance Turkey places on the activities of TÜRKPA. He underscored the organization's critical role in strengthening parliamentary diplomacy, harmonizing legislation among member states, and establishing a unified parliamentary platform. Yılmaz reaffirmed Turkey's commitment to providing continued support for the assembly's future initiatives. The meeting was also attended by the Deputy Secretary General of TÜRKPA, Muhammet Alper Hayali.

TÜRKPA, established in 2008, serves as a vital platform for fostering political dialogue and cooperation among Turkic-speaking nations. By facilitating legislative alignment and diplomatic exchange, the assembly aims to deepen the integration of member states in line with the broader objectives of the Organization of Turkic States, which seeks to enhance economic, cultural, and political ties across the Turkic world.
