İranın nüvə obyektləri vurulub? - Rafael Qrossi açıqlama verdi

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) is closely monitoring military activities in Iran and the Middle East with concern.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports, citing France 24, that the agency has addressed recent speculation regarding the safety of nuclear infrastructure in the region.

IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi, speaking at a special meeting of the IAEA Board, stated that there is currently no information indicating that any nuclear facilities in Iran have been attacked as a result of actions by the United States or Israel. He noted that while the agency has attempted to establish contact with Iranian nuclear regulators, they have not yet received a formal response regarding the current situation on the ground.

"We do not have any information that any nuclear facility has been attacked or damaged," Grossi emphasized, underscoring the importance of maintaining the security of such sites during periods of heightened geopolitical instability. The IAEA continues to advocate for the protection of nuclear infrastructure, as any strike on such facilities could lead to severe radiological consequences and further escalate the conflict in the Middle East.

The IAEA, established in 1957 as an autonomous organization within the United Nations system, serves as the world's central intergovernmental forum for scientific and technical cooperation in the nuclear field. Its primary mission is to promote the peaceful use of nuclear energy while ensuring that nuclear materials are not diverted for military purposes through a rigorous system of international safeguards and inspections.
