President Ilham Aliyev has signed a decree approving the new charter for the Center of Analysis of International Relations and Multiculturalism.
According to the "Operative Information Center-OMM", the decree formalizes the organizational structure and operational mandate of the institution.
The Center is tasked with conducting in-depth research on issues relevant to Azerbaijan's strategic interests, including the country's foreign policy priorities and bilateral relations with foreign states. Its mandate includes analyzing regional and global conflicts, as well as political, social, legal, and economic processes. The Center is responsible for providing scientific-analytical forecasts and proposing solutions to challenges in these areas.
Furthermore, the Center is mandated to foster scientific-analytical research in international relations, regional processes, and multiculturalism. A key objective is to effectively communicate Azerbaijan's position on global and regional developments to international political, social, and academic circles.
The Center is authorized to engage in entrepreneurial activities to achieve its stated objectives. Its governance structure consists of a three-member Management Board, including a Chairman and two deputies, all appointed and dismissed by the President of Azerbaijan. The Center's charter capital is set at 4,212,500 manats, and it is required to submit an annual report on its activities to the President. The Cabinet of Ministers has been instructed to resolve all issues arising from this decree.
The Center of Analysis of International Relations (AIR Center) serves as a vital think tank in Azerbaijan, playing a crucial role in shaping the country's foreign policy discourse and promoting its national interests on the global stage through academic research and public diplomacy.
