The development of relations between Azerbaijan and Slovakia is proceeding successfully, with both nations actively expanding their cooperation.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, President Ilham Aliyev made this statement during a press briefing with Slovak President Peter Pellegrini in Shusha on July 14.
The head of state noted that political contacts between the two nations are becoming increasingly regular and substantive.
“I recall my official visit to Slovakia at the end of last year. The dynamic development of our relations demonstrates the clear intent of both sides. Today, we discussed a wide range of issues and confirmed once again that our agenda is broad. It is sufficient to look at the composition of our delegations to see the directions in which we are actively working and maintaining a dialogue,” President Ilham Aliyev stated.
The visit to Shusha, the cultural capital of Azerbaijan, holds significant symbolic importance as the country continues its large-scale reconstruction and restoration efforts in the liberated territories of Garabagh. Azerbaijan and Slovakia have been strengthening their partnership, particularly in energy security, infrastructure development, and the implementation of smart village projects, which are key components of the post-conflict recovery strategy in the region.
