President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Kobakhidze issued statements to the press in Tbilisi on April 6. The meeting focused on the deepening strategic partnership and regional cooperation between the two neighboring nations.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports that Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze first delivered his statement, followed by a speech from President Ilham Aliyev. Both leaders emphasized the importance of joint energy and transport projects that serve as a bridge between Asia and Europe.

Azerbaijan and Georgia maintain a high-level strategic partnership, characterized by frequent diplomatic exchanges and robust economic ties. As key components of the Middle Corridor, both countries play a pivotal role in international logistics and energy security, particularly through the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline and the Southern Gas Corridor. This meeting in Tbilisi serves to further solidify the bilateral agenda and coordinate efforts on regional stability and economic integration in the South Caucasus.
