President Ilham Aliyev has congratulated the Sabah football club on securing a spot in the main stage of the UEFA Champions League.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the President shared a congratulatory message on his official "X" account.
"I sincerely congratulate the Sabah football club on achieving a magnificent victory and qualifying for the main stage of the UEFA Champions League," the President stated.
"It is a source of special joy and pride that a newly established team has achieved such a great success in a short period. The fact that our clubs have earned the right to compete in the main stage of the world's strongest club tournament for the second consecutive time is another clear indicator of the progress Azerbaijan has achieved in all fields and our country's position as a sporting nation. I wish the Sabah club new victories and success in the upcoming matches!" the post noted.
