President Ilham Aliyev meets J.P. Morgan CEO in Davos

On January 20, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev met with Jamie Dimon, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of J.P. Morgan, one of the world's leading global financial institutions, in Davos.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the head of state emphasized the significance of the existing cooperation between the State Oil Fund of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ), other national entities, and J.P. Morgan. President Ilham Aliyev underlined that this partnership is long-term and built on mutual trust.

Jamie Dimon highly valued Azerbaijan's position as a reliable partner in international financial markets, noting the country's stable investment environment and consistent financial policies. He expressed J.P. Morgan's commitment to deepening the institutional partnership with SOFAZ, highlighting the firm's interest in further expanding these ties.

The meeting included an exchange of views on the current state of global financial markets, the international investment climate, and macroeconomic challenges. The parties also discussed opportunities for institutional investors and long-term cooperation perspectives amidst global economic shifts.

J.P. Morgan, which manages assets exceeding $4 trillion, is a global leader in banking, investment, and asset management. With a history spanning over 200 years, the company remains one of the world's largest and most diversified financial institutions. The World Economic Forum in Davos serves as a critical platform for Azerbaijan to strengthen its economic diplomacy, showcase its stable macroeconomic environment, and attract foreign direct investment into its diversifying economy.
