Prime Minister Ali Asadov, who is participating in the V International Investment Forum in the capital of Uzbekistan, visited the Center for Islamic Civilization in Tashkent alongside the heads of government from Belarus, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, citing official sources, Uzbekistan's Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov provided the guests with detailed information about the center. It was noted that the center, established by a decree from Uzbekistan President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, laid its foundation in 2018. Hundreds of scholars, experts, as well as religious and public figures, have contributed to the project's implementation.
Designed in the architectural style of ancient Samarkand, the center spans over 10 hectares and serves as a hub for research, the national registry of rare manuscripts, and archival preservation. The museum features exhibitions spanning various historical eras, utilizing modern digital technology to showcase the region's intellectual heritage. The exposition includes halls dedicated to pre-Islamic civilizations, the First and Second Renaissance periods, and the development of modern Uzbekistan.
The V International Investment Forum in Tashkent serves as a key platform for fostering economic cooperation and regional integration among Central Asian states and their partners, highlighting the growing diplomatic and cultural ties between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan.
