Pezeşkian: Hörmüzdəki gərginliyə görə ABŞ və İsrail məsuldur

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has issued a stern warning regarding the United States' military presence in the Middle East, holding Washington and Israel accountable for rising tensions in the Strait of Hormuz.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the president stated during a speech that US military bases place host nations at risk, allowing Iran to categorize these facilities as "legitimate targets." Pezeshkian noted that the presence of foreign military forces does not enhance regional security but instead exacerbates existing tensions.

The Iranian leader further emphasized that any potential instability in the Strait of Hormuz would be the direct responsibility of the United States and Israel. The Strait of Hormuz remains one of the world's most vital maritime passages, serving as a primary transit route for global oil supplies. Historically, any instability in this region has led to significant fluctuations in international energy prices and heightened diplomatic friction between Tehran and Western powers. The president's comments reflect the ongoing geopolitical complexities involving regional security and the influence of external military forces in the Middle East.
