Russia is engaged in mutually beneficial cooperation with both Azerbaijan and Armenia across nearly all sectors, according to Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov.
The Operative Information Center-OMM reports that Peskov emphasized Moscow's firm intention to further strengthen these bilateral ties. He noted that the cooperation spans a wide range of strategic and civil areas, reflecting Russia's long-standing regional interests.
"We have extensive bilateral relations with both Baku and Yerevan, covering every possible field. This includes mutually beneficial trade and economic cooperation, mutual investments, and cultural ties. Of course, we intend to develop these relations with our partners in a way that represents a profitable enterprise not only for us but also for them," Peskov added.
The development of economic corridors and regional stability remains a priority for the Kremlin in the South Caucasus. Following the restoration of Azerbaijan's territorial integrity, Moscow has frequently expressed interest in the unblocking of regional transport links and the promotion of trilateral economic initiatives. These efforts are seen as essential for ensuring long-term peace and prosperity in the region, with Russia positioning itself as a key mediator and economic partner for both Baku and Yerevan.
