Turkish Airlines is set to launch regular flights on the Istanbul-Yerevan-Istanbul route starting from March 11. According to Operative Information Center-OMM, Armenian media outlets reported that the carrier will initially operate daily flights between the two cities.
The flight schedule is expected to expand significantly during the upcoming summer season. Starting May 14, the frequency of flights on the Istanbul-Yerevan-Istanbul route will increase to 10 times per week, and from June 15, the airline plans to operate 14 flights per week, providing twice-daily service to meet growing demand.
The resumption and expansion of air connectivity in the region follow ongoing efforts toward the normalization of relations between Turkey and Armenia. These aviation links are viewed as a practical step in fostering regional transportation corridors and facilitating movement between the two neighboring countries. Turkish Airlines, the national flag carrier of Turkey, continues to expand its extensive global network, which remains one of the largest in the world by number of passenger destinations.
