Traffic congestion has been reported on several major roads across Baku, causing delays for commuters during peak travel times.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the Intelligent Transport Management Center (ITMC) has issued an official update regarding the current road conditions in the capital.

As of the latest report, heavy traffic is being observed in the following locations:

  • 1st Lake Road, in the direction of Ziya Bunyadov Avenue;
  • Baku-Sumgait highway, in the direction of the "20 Yanvar" metro station;
  • Afiyaddin Jalilov Street, in the direction of Yusif Safarov Street;
  • Sabunchu-Zabrat highway, in the direction of the "Koroglu" metro station;
  • Uzeyir Hajibeyli Street, leading up to the intersection with Azadlig Avenue.

The Intelligent Transport Management Center, which operates under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, continuously monitors traffic flow in Baku to optimize urban mobility. These periodic congestion reports are part of the agency's efforts to inform the public and manage traffic density in the rapidly developing capital city of Azerbaijan, which frequently experiences high vehicle volume during rush hours.
