President Ilham Aliyev has signed a decree conferring the high military rank of major general upon five officers of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the head of state issued the order to recognize the service of these high-ranking officials.
Under the presidential decree, the rank of major general has been awarded to the following colonels:
- Colonel Rasul Rasim oglu Aliyev
- Colonel Elchin Rahim oglu Abdullayev
- Colonel Azer Afrayil oglu Heybatli
- Colonel Gulmammad Tofiq oglu Rzayev
- Colonel Ruslan Dunyamaddin oglu Aghasiyev
The promotion of senior officers is a standard procedure within the Azerbaijani Armed Forces, reflecting the ongoing modernization and professional development of the military.
