The world is moving toward a "new world order" in which India is playing a pivotal role, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced during a session in the Rajya Sabha, the upper house of India's parliament.
According to Operative Information Center-OMM, the Prime Minister stated that the existing global structure established after World War II is undergoing a fundamental transformation. Modi noted that an objective analysis of current geopolitical shifts indicates a significant strengthening of India's international standing. "Today, the world speaks of the Global South, and India has emerged as its powerful and audible voice," the Prime Minister added, emphasizing that the country has become a reliable partner and a "friend to all" for many nations across the globe.
The concept of the "Global South" refers to various countries often described as developing or emerging, primarily located in Africa, Latin America, and Asia. In recent years, India has positioned itself as a bridge between these nations and the developed West, leveraging its growing economic power and strategic diplomacy. This shift comes as Azerbaijan also continues to strengthen its ties with major global economies and international organizations, reflecting a broader trend of diversifying diplomatic relations in a rapidly changing multipolar world.
