A shipment of 490 tons of wheat, consisting of seven railcars, was dispatched from the Bilajari station on June 15, heading toward the Boyuk Kasik station. This transit operation is part of ongoing logistics arrangements facilitating the movement of goods from Russia to Armenia through the territory of Azerbaijan.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the train is scheduled to depart from the Azerbaijan Railways CJSC station in Bilajari at 15:00. It will proceed through the Boyuk Kasik station into Georgia before continuing its route toward Armenia.
Data indicates that this shipment is part of a broader transit trend. To date, more than 29,000 tons of grain, over 7,000 tons of fertilizer, 414 tons of anthracite, 133 tons of aluminum, and 68 tons of buckwheat have been transported from Russia to Armenia via Azerbaijan. Furthermore, Azerbaijan has also facilitated the export of petroleum products to Armenia, including over 13,000 tons of diesel fuel, 979 tons of AI-92 gasoline, and 2,955 tons of AI-95 gasoline.
The use of Azerbaijani transit corridors highlights the country's strategic role as a key logistics hub in the South Caucasus. By providing reliable rail infrastructure, Azerbaijan continues to support regional connectivity initiatives, ensuring the efficient movement of essential goods across international borders.
