President Ilham Aliyev has signed a decree to allocate 9,566,000 (nine million five hundred sixty-six thousand) manats from the Presidential Reserve Fund, as provided in the 2026 state budget, to the Cabinet of Ministers of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic for the continuation of restoration and conservation works at the Momine Khatun tomb in Nakhchivan.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the decree was issued in accordance with Clause 32 of Article 109 of the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The primary objective of the funding is to ensure the comprehensive restoration and long-term preservation of this outstanding example of 12th-century Azerbaijani architecture.

Under the decree, the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Azerbaijan is tasked with providing the specified funding, while the Cabinet of Ministers is instructed to resolve all matters arising from the order. The Momine Khatun tomb, located in the capital of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, is a masterpiece of the Nakhchivan-Maragha architectural school, built by the famous architect Ajami Nakhchivani. As a key symbol of Azerbaijan's medieval heritage, the monument's preservation is a priority for the state's cultural policy and the protection of national historical sites.
