The bus stop area on Jafar Jabbarli Street in Baku has been expanded to improve public transport efficiency, Operative Information Center-OMM reports, citing the Azerbaijan Land Transport Agency (AYNA).

This infrastructure adjustment ensures the seamless operation of express buses, which were introduced to manage passenger flow during the ongoing separation of metro lines. The expansion allows for more efficient boarding and alighting processes, significantly reducing congestion for commuters in the area.

Furthermore, authorities are currently relocating the existing taxi stand in the vicinity. AYNA is conducting technical analyses to determine the optimal new location for the taxi zone, aiming to balance the needs of various transport modes while maintaining traffic flow in the capital.

The Azerbaijan Land Transport Agency (AYNA), under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, is responsible for regulating and optimizing urban mobility across the country. These measures are part of a broader initiative to modernize Baku's transport infrastructure, improve road safety, and enhance the overall quality of public transit services for residents and visitors.
