Moskva sülhə hazırdır, amma şərt qoyur: “Yerlərdəki reallıqlar nəzərə alınmalıdır”

Russia is prepared to consider new proposals for settling the Ukraine conflict.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov stated this in an interview with news.ru.

Ryabkov emphasized that Moscow remains open to constructive dialogue, provided that any peace initiative accounts for "realities on the ground." He noted that the current diplomatic trajectory depends heavily on Washington's influence over Kyiv and its European partners. The Russian official further alleged that certain Western circles continue to hold expectations regarding Russia's "strategic defeat."

The conflict in Ukraine, which began in February 2022, has seen numerous attempts at diplomatic resolution, often stalled by conflicting demands regarding territorial integrity and security guarantees. International observers frequently note that the gap between the positions of Moscow and Kyiv remains significant, complicating potential ceasefire efforts.

Meanwhile, tensions persist on the front lines. The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine reported that Russian drones struck a checkpoint in the Odesa region near the Moldovan border overnight.

The attack damaged the infrastructure of the "Tabaky" checkpoint, leading to the suspension of passenger and vehicle traffic. Authorities have redirected traffic to alternative crossings and notified Moldovan officials of the incident.
