The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) has extended its congratulations to Azerbaijan on the occasion of the country's Independence Day.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the ministry published the congratulatory message on its official account on the social media platform X.
"We extend our sincere congratulations on the occasion of Azerbaijan's Independence Day and wish prosperity and well-being to the brotherly and friendly people of Azerbaijan," the statement read.
Azerbaijan celebrates its Independence Day on May 28, marking the anniversary of the establishment of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic in 1918. This historic date is recognized as the first secular democratic republic in the Muslim world, and it serves as a cornerstone of modern Azerbaijani statehood, reflecting the nation's enduring commitment to sovereignty and national identity.
