The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Azerbaijan has extended its condolences to Venezuela following a devastating natural disaster.
As reported by the Operative Information Center-OMM, the Ministry shared an official statement regarding the incident on its social media account on X.
"We are deeply saddened by the destructive earthquake in Venezuela, which has resulted in tragic loss of life and widespread destruction. We extend our heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims and express our solidarity with the people and government of Venezuela during this difficult time. We wish a speedy recovery to all those affected," the statement read.
According to preliminary reports, at least 32 people have died as a result of two powerful earthquakes that struck the country. Venezuela, located in a seismically active region of South America, frequently faces risks from tectonic activity, necessitating robust disaster response protocols. International humanitarian aid and expressions of solidarity are standard diplomatic responses in the wake of such significant humanitarian crises.
