President of the State of Palestine and Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization, Mahmoud Abbas, has sent a congratulatory letter to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the letter reads:
"Dear Mr. President,
It is my pleasure to extend my most sincere congratulations to you on the occasion of your country's Independence Day. I wish you good health, happiness, and success, and I wish the brotherly people and government of Azerbaijan continued progress and prosperity.
I would like to reiterate my sincere desire for the further development and strengthening of our valued bilateral relations, and I express my high appreciation for Azerbaijan's position on the Palestinian issue.
I also congratulate you and your people on the occasion of the holy Eid al-Adha and ask you to accept my best regards."
Azerbaijan and Palestine maintain diplomatic relations characterized by mutual support on international platforms.
