Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko has extended his congratulations to the Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, Karekin II, on the occasion of his birthday.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the official website of the Belarusian head of state reported that the congratulatory message highly commended the religious leader's ongoing contributions.
In his letter, Lukashenko emphasized that the life of Karekin II serves as a testament to dedicated service, selflessness, and unwavering loyalty to the Christian church and the Armenian people. The Belarusian leader specifically highlighted the patriarch's tireless pastoral work, wise leadership, and commitment to traditional values.
Lukashenko noted that these qualities have earned Karekin II deep respect both within Armenia and among the Armenian diaspora abroad. The Belarusian President concluded his message by wishing the Catholicos robust health, inexhaustible energy, and continued success in his future endeavors.
Karekin II has served as the Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians since 1999, leading the Armenian Apostolic Church during a period of significant geopolitical and social change in the region.
