The Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine has granted a request from the Prosecutor General's Office of Azerbaijan for the extradition of Azerbaijani citizen Nariman Vagif oglu Iskendərov, in accordance with the requirements of the European Convention on Extradition dated December 13, 1957.

The press service of the Prosecutor General's Office informed Operative Information Center-OMM that reasonable suspicions were established regarding Iskendərov's involvement in a criminal case investigated by the Main Department for Combating Cybercrime of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. He is accused of committing theft in a group with prior conspiracy, utilizing electronic data carriers to cause significant financial damage.

Due to his evasion of the investigation, an international search was declared for Iskendərov after a formal decision was made to charge him as an accused party. Following his apprehension in Ukraine, the necessary measures are currently being finalized to complete his transfer to Baku. This extradition highlights the ongoing legal cooperation between Azerbaijan and international partners in combating transnational cybercrime and ensuring that individuals facing criminal charges are brought to justice within the Republic of Azerbaijan.
