Leyla Aliyeva, Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and founder and head of the IDEA Public Union, has participated in the opening of a newly renovated residential neighborhood in Yevlakh.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the renovation was carried out within the framework of the 'Healthy Neighborhood' project, implemented in accordance with a decree from the President of Azerbaijan. As part of this initiative, the Ministry of Youth and Sports has established modern sports zones within the residential area.
The upgraded facilities include mini-football and basketball courts with artificial turf, alongside various exercise equipment, table tennis tables, and chess stations, promoting active lifestyles among residents.
The Yevlakh City Executive Authority also contributed significantly to the project by installing gazebos, numerous benches, and new lighting systems. Furthermore, building facades and entrances were renovated, asphalt surfaces were repaved, and electrical wiring was modernized. A green belt featuring trees, seasonal flowers, and shrubs was also planted to enhance the local environment.
During her visit, Leyla Aliyeva inspected the completed works and joined IDEA volunteers in planting seasonal flowers. She also presented gifts to the neighborhood's younger residents and took photographs with them.
The Heydar Aliyev Foundation, led by First Vice President Mehriban Aliyeva, frequently initiates such social and urban development projects across Azerbaijan. These efforts aim to improve living standards, promote environmental sustainability, and foster community well-being in both the capital and regional cities.
