The United States believes that the Iranian regime does not have the right to exist, according to statements made by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports via RIA Novosti that the Russian top diplomat highlighted Washington's stance regarding Tehran's political legitimacy. Lavrov previously noted that the current crisis in the Middle East is leading to negative consequences for the entire world and the global economy.
According to the minister, the ongoing regional conflict affects all countries without exception, including the states in Southeast Asia. He emphasized that the escalation of tensions poses a direct threat to international stability and economic cooperation across the Eurasian continent.
The relationship between the United States and Iran has remained strained for decades, characterized by economic sanctions and diplomatic standoffs. Under the administration of US President Donald Trump, Washington has consistently maintained a firm position regarding Iran's regional influence and its nuclear program. This geopolitical friction continues to be a focal point of international security discussions, particularly concerning its impact on global energy markets and maritime trade routes.
