The Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs has strongly condemned repeated attacks against the country, stating that these actions undermine regional efforts aimed at de-escalation.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the ministry issued an official statement regarding the ongoing situation.
The statement emphasized that the recurrence of these attacks is indicative of a systematic and aggressive approach that Kuwait refuses to accept or tolerate. Officials highlighted that the actions carried out by Iran constitute a clear violation of Kuwait's sovereignty, as well as a severe breach of international law and the UN Charter.
“These attacks directed against Kuwait's sovereignty are not only a gross violation of international law but also strike a blow to efforts aimed at reducing tensions in the region,” the ministry stated.
Furthermore, the ministry declared that Kuwait reserves the right to take all necessary measures to protect its national security, defend its territorial integrity, and safeguard its strategic assets.
Kuwait, a member of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), has historically maintained a policy of diplomatic engagement in the region. However, this recent escalation marks a significant deterioration in bilateral relations, raising concerns among international observers about the stability of the Persian Gulf region, which is critical for global energy security and maritime trade routes.
