The Krasnodar region, situated in the Kuban area of southern Russia, has increasingly become a focal point for drone activity due to its strategic energy infrastructure and proximity to the Black Sea. Such incidents involving oil depots and refineries have become more frequent as the conflict continues, impacting regional logistics and energy storage facilities. The village of Volna is notably close to the Taman port, a critical hub for oil and gas exports in the region.
