The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) of Iran has announced that it carried out strikes against Israel's Nevatim and Tel Nof airbases as part of retaliatory measures.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the report was initially disseminated by Iran's semi-official Fars news agency.
Official statements from Tehran indicate that this military operation is a direct response to recent strikes allegedly conducted by Israel against radar installations located within Iranian territory. IRGC officials emphasized that the attacks were intended to retaliate against actions deemed a threat to the country's national security.
The Nevatim and Tel Nof airbases are among the most significant facilities within the Israeli Air Force infrastructure. Nevatim, located in the Negev Desert, is known for housing Israel's F-35 fighter jet fleet, while Tel Nof serves as a critical training and operational hub. Tensions in the Middle East have escalated significantly in recent months, with regional powers engaging in a series of direct and indirect military confrontations that have drawn international concern regarding broader regional stability.
