Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan Hikmat Hajiyev held a working meeting with Secretary of the Security Council of Armenia Armen Grigoryan in the city of Dilijan, Armenia.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the parties discussed a range of issues related to the Azerbaijan-Armenia peace agenda. During the talks, the significance of maintaining bilateral dialogue as part of efforts to promote sustainable peace and stability in the region was emphasized.
The officials also exchanged views on confidence-building measures between the civil societies of the two nations. Hikmat Hajiyev and Armen Grigoryan agreed to continue contacts at the working level and confirmed that the next meeting will be held in Azerbaijan.
This meeting represents a continuation of ongoing diplomatic efforts aimed at normalizing relations between Baku and Yerevan. Following the end of the conflict in the Garabagh region, both nations have been engaged in negotiations to finalize a comprehensive peace treaty, addressing issues such as border delimitation and the restoration of transport links, which are critical for long-term security in the South Caucasus.
