US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth has announced that the United States and Israel successfully reached every designated target according to plan, executing the operation exactly as envisioned from the outset.
The Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the Pentagon chief stated the joint military actions dealt a severe blow to Iran's military potential, achieving all strategic objectives set within the country. According to Hegseth, the operation was carried out in a timely and comprehensive manner, adhering strictly to the initial tactical roadmap.
Hegseth further emphasized that Iran has suffered a crushing military defeat. He revealed that during the overnight operations, the United States conducted more than 800 strikes, which completely dismantled Iran's defense industrial base—the most critical element of the mission. The Secretary noted that while Tehran retains limited retaliatory capabilities, its command and control systems have been degraded to the point where they can no longer communicate or coordinate effectively. "They can still fire, but it would be very, very foolish," he added.
The Secretary described "Operation Epic Fury" as a historic and decisive victory on the battlefield, characterizing it as a military triumph in every sense of the word.
