Minister of Emergency Situations, Colonel-General Kamaladdin Heydarov, visited the Keshla settlement in the Nizami district of Baku to inspect an area affected by flooding caused by a malfunction in the local collector system.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations informed the Operative Information Center-OMM that the Minister personally familiarized himself with the current situation and the progress of emergency works being carried out to eliminate the consequences of the incident. During the inspection, the Minister issued specific instructions to relevant officials to ensure the rapid restoration of the area and the safety of the residents.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations of Azerbaijan is responsible for protecting the population from natural and man-made disasters, as well as managing the consequences of industrial accidents and infrastructure failures. Such technical malfunctions in urban drainage systems are addressed through coordinated efforts between the Ministry's rescue teams and local utility services to prevent long-term damage to residential infrastructure in the capital.
