The Israeli military is prepared for military operations against Iran that could last for several weeks, though there are currently no plans for a ground incursion.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports that these remarks were made by Israel Defense Forces (IDF) spokesperson Nadav Shoshani during a briefing on the current security situation.

Shoshani emphasized that Israel does not intend to send ground troops into Iranian territory. He noted that the IDF has developed a comprehensive operational plan designed to span several weeks, though he added that the duration of the military campaign remains flexible and may change depending on the evolving course of events. According to the spokesperson, the current strategic situation is developing in Israel's favor.

The official further highlighted that joint operations involving Israel and the United States have significantly limited Iran's strike capabilities. "Dozens of Iranian rocket launchers have been destroyed. Following the first two days of combat, the number of missile attacks directed at Israel has decreased," Shoshani stated.

This escalation follows months of heightened regional tensions and direct military exchanges between the two nations. International observers note that the involvement of US President Donald Trump's administration remains a critical factor in the regional security architecture, as Washington continues to coordinate closely with its allies in the Middle East to maintain stability and deter further aggression. The focus remains on neutralizing long-range missile threats and drone infrastructure to prevent further escalation in the broader region.
