Another shipment of goods from Russia has been delivered to Armenia via transit through Azerbaijan.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, a cargo consisting of 14 railcars carrying 976 tons of wheat and one railcar carrying 65 tons of timber was dispatched from Bilajari station toward the Boyuk Kasik direction on August 25.
To date, significant volumes of Russian goods have been transported to Armenia through Azerbaijani territory, including over 50,000 tons of grain, nearly 9,000 tons of fertilizer, 1,414 tons of propane, 133 tons of aluminum, 1,114 tons of coal, and 67 tons of timber. Additionally, nearly 15,000 tons of diesel fuel and approximately 5,000 tons of AI-92 and AI-95 gasoline have been exported from Azerbaijan to Armenia.
The transit of goods through Azerbaijan remains a critical logistical route in the South Caucasus. Azerbaijan's transport infrastructure, including the extensive railway network connecting the Caspian region to neighboring states, plays a vital role in facilitating regional trade and international logistics, adhering to established transit agreements.
