Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's ongoing court hearings have been shortened due to security and political reasons, according to Israeli media reports.
The Operative Information Center-OMM reports, citing TASS, that the Israeli Prime Minister's Office confirmed Netanyahu's recent medical visit. "Yesterday he visited a dentist at Hadassah Ein Kerem, I can confirm this. The Prime Minister is currently in court," the office stated. According to Israeli outlet Ynet, the court sessions will conclude early on May 26 and continue in a shortened format on May 27.
Netanyahu is currently on trial for three separate corruption cases involving allegations of bribery, fraud, and breach of trust, including accepting expensive gifts and manipulating media regulations to benefit associates. The trial, which began in 2020, saw Netanyahu begin his testimony in December 2024, with the Prime Minister consistently denying all charges. Additionally, a medical report released in April disclosed that a small malignant prostate tumor had been successfully removed during an early-stage procedure.
