The Executive Director of the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat), Anacláudia Rossbach, has officially declared the 13th World Urban Forum (WUF13) closed.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that she made the announcement during the closing ceremony of the forum held in Baku. "And now I declare WUF13 closed," Rossbach said.
The World Urban Forum, established by the United Nations in 2001, is the premier global conference addressing the challenges of rapid urbanization and its impact on communities, cities, economies, and climate change. Hosting WUF13 in Baku underscores Azerbaijan's active engagement in global sustainable development initiatives and its capacity to host high-level international events.
