Iran has declared that the United States and Israel have been defeated in their campaign of aggression against the Islamic Republic.
According to the Tasnim news agency, the head of Iran's Judiciary, Gholam-Hossein Mohseni-Ejei, made the remarks during a meeting with members of the Supreme Judicial Council. He emphasized the failure of the military campaign led by Washington and Tel Aviv, noting that US President Donald Trump has reportedly requested other nations to deploy naval vessels and military forces to the Strait of Hormuz to bolster their presence in the region.
Mohseni-Ejei stated that despite the ongoing state of conflict, Iran has maintained its internal stability and administrative efficiency, with no disruptions in governance. He added that the Islamic Republic's leadership continues its work without interruption, asserting that the image of American power has been significantly tarnished following recent escalations. The Judiciary chief further claimed that the United States, despite its status as a global military power, has faced disappointment when confronted by the resolve of regional forces.
The Strait of Hormuz remains one of the world's most critical maritime chokepoints, through which approximately one-fifth of the world's oil consumption passes. Tensions in the waterway have historically served as a barometer for relations between Tehran and the West. The current rhetoric follows a period of heightened military posturing in the Persian Gulf, where international coalitions have frequently conducted patrols to ensure the freedom of navigation amid regional security concerns.
