Qalibaf: ABŞ 10 maddəlik planın 3 bəndini artıq pozub

The Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, has declared that negotiations and a bilateral ceasefire with the United States are pointless, citing serious violations by the opposing side.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports, citing the Tasnim News Agency, that the speaker accused Washington of failing to uphold its commitments even before the formal commencement of negotiations.

According to the report, Qalibaf stated on the X social media platform that while the United States had officially accepted Iran's 10-point proposal as a basis for a ceasefire and claimed to make concessions on key demands, subsequent actions contradicted these positions. Although the proposal called for a cessation of hostilities on all fronts, including Lebanon, reports indicate that large-scale strikes were carried out in Lebanon on the same day, resulting in significant civilian casualties.

Qalibaf noted that three critical components of the 10-point framework have already been violated. These include the failure to observe the ceasefire commitment in Lebanon, the violation of Iranian airspace, and the refusal to recognize the country's right to enrich uranium. Under these circumstances, the parliament speaker emphasized that neither a bilateral ceasefire nor further talks with the U.S. administration can be considered logical. He added that while US President Donald Trump had reportedly acknowledged the 10-point plan as a framework for talks, the practical implementation has failed to meet Tehran's expectations.

The 10-point plan proposed by Tehran has been a central subject of recent diplomatic maneuvers aimed at de-escalating regional tensions. Historically, relations between Tehran and Washington have been defined by disputes over nuclear enrichment rights and regional influence. This latest development underscores the ongoing volatility in the Middle East and the challenges facing international mediation efforts to secure a lasting ceasefire in the region.
