Qalibaf Trampın İran-ABŞ üzrə son açıqlamasını təkzib etdi

Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, the Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, has dismissed statements by US President Donald Trump regarding the negotiation process with Tehran as false. Writing on the social media platform X, Qalibaf countered claims made by the US President concerning Iran's willingness to dismantle its nuclear program and surrender its enriched uranium reserves.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the Iranian Parliament Speaker stated that "the American President made seven statements in one hour, and none of them are true." He emphasized that Washington would not succeed in forcing Tehran to meet all its demands during the negotiation process. Furthermore, Qalibaf reaffirmed Iran's readiness to close the Strait of Hormuz if the United States does not cease its blockade of Iranian ports in the Persian Gulf.

These developments follow a period of intense regional escalation. On February 28, 2026, the US and Israel launched military operations against Iran, including airstrikes on several cities, which resulted in the death of Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. In response, Iran conducted missile strikes against Israel and targeted American military bases in the Persian Gulf. While a two-week ceasefire was brokered on April 8, subsequent talks mediated by Pakistan in Islamabad on April 11-12 ended without a resolution. The Strait of Hormuz remains a critical global maritime chokepoint, through which a significant portion of the world's oil supply passes, making any threat of its closure a matter of international concern.
