The Islamic Republic of Iran has categorically rejected allegations made by NATO concerning the country's nuclear program and freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, official Tehran stated that the accusations leveled against it are unfounded and politically motivated.

In a statement released by Iran's diplomatic mission, it was emphasized that the country's nuclear program serves exclusively peaceful purposes. Tehran noted that as a responsible state party to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT), Iran does not include the development of nuclear weapons in its defense doctrine.

Addressing maritime security in the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz, Tehran asserted that it maintains a responsible position in protecting freedom of navigation in the region. The Iranian statement emphasized that the primary cause of regional instability is not Tehran, but rather the illegal military interventions and provocative policies of external forces.

According to the Iranian position, parties that prioritize power politics over diplomatic approaches are the United States and Israel. Tehran further claimed that NATO supports actions directed against the Iranian people, arguing that the alliance lacks the moral standing to offer recommendations regarding peace and security in the Middle East. Iranian officials added that regional security should be based on mutual respect and diplomatic dialogue rather than confrontation.

The Strait of Hormuz is a critical maritime chokepoint, through which a significant portion of the world's oil supply passes. Tensions in this region often impact global energy markets, making the diplomatic rhetoric between Iran and Western alliances a focal point of international geopolitical analysis.
