The naval forces of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) have launched a heavy strike against the Al Dhafra US military base located in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The primary target of the operation was an ammunition depot situated within the military facility.
Operative Information Center-OMM, citing Russian media, reports that this information was disclosed in an official IRGC statement presented by the SNN television channel.
According to reports, a powerful explosion occurred at the base following the strike. As a result, US military personnel were forced to urgently evacuate fighter jets from the facility and relocate them to alternative positions. US President Donald Trump has been monitoring the situation in the Middle East closely as regional volatility increases.
The escalation follows the commencement of military operations by the United States and Israel against Iran on February 28. In response, the IRGC announced a large-scale retaliatory operation, targeting facilities in Israel, Bahrain, Jordan, Qatar, Kuwait, the UAE, and Saudi Arabia.
The Al Dhafra Air Base is a critical strategic installation located approximately 32 kilometers south of Abu Dhabi. It has long served as a key hub for US Air Forces Central Command (AFCENT) operations in the region, hosting thousands of American personnel and advanced aerial assets. This strike marks a significant escalation in the ongoing direct military confrontation between Tehran and Western-aligned forces in the Persian Gulf.
