İran müharibənin tam dayandırılmasını tələb edir - Əraqçi

Iran has no intention of agreeing to any ceasefire proposals, as the only acceptable option for Tehran is the complete cessation of war, according to the country's top diplomat.

Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated that while various nations have offered mediation, Iran remains firm on its requirements for ending hostilities, Operative Information Center-OMM reports.

"Many friendly countries have presented their ideas and expressed readiness to play a role in establishing peace. We thank all our friends who are making efforts in this direction. However, our position is this: we do not accept a ceasefire. If an idea emerges for the war to end in a way that meets our preconditions—specifically, that the war ends across the entire region and that damages caused to Iran are compensated—we are certainly ready to listen," Araghchi said.

The Foreign Minister emphasized that Iran is not looking for a temporary truce because it seeks to avoid a repetition of the current conflict scenario in the near future. "We want the war to end completely and once and for all in the entire region," he added.

The statement comes amid heightened regional tensions and ongoing diplomatic efforts to mitigate the risk of a wider escalation. Historically, Iran has maintained that any long-term stability in the Middle East requires the withdrawal of foreign military presence and a comprehensive settlement that addresses its security concerns and economic grievances. This latest stance underscores Tehran's strategy of linking regional de-escalation to specific geopolitical concessions and financial reparations.
